Who we are:

Howdy, my name is Cameron, and I cut my teeth as a hull cleaner in the chilly waters of Northern California.

I love boats; big ones, small ones, ugly ones. I love the big beautiful Clipper ships of days gone, and spent my undergrad studying marine archaeology in Florida.

They are my passion.

What I noticed working for other dive companies was the complacency in environmental impact.

When using the hardware store abrasive pad - the divers tool of choice - it invariably separates some level of bottom paint from the hull into the water.

Always, to some degree.

Divers can be an old school breed, and resistant to change. I wanted to break the mold and bring some new (ish) technology to the Los Angeles boaters… Something easier on the diver, the boat owner, and the ocean. So I created Pressure Gauge Diving with the future in mind.

Here is the deal:

Cavitation cleaning represents the next generation of underwater hull maintenance.

It uses microscopic shockwaves to lift marine growth from the hull surface. This non-destructive process is gentler on your paint and more thorough than hand-scrubbing. It dislodges biofouling from hard-to-reach textures and contours, leaving the hull cleaner with less risk of wear.

We pair this with the Nemo electric hull cleaner—a lightweight, diver-operated rotary brush system.

Thanks to its rotational design and adjustable speed, the Nemo brush requires less pressure than manual scrubbing or scraping. This reduces paint removal while still eliminating light barnacle buildup, moss, scum lines, algae and tough stains—especially on larger flat surfaces. It’s perfect for vessels with soft coatings or clients seeking regular, low-impact maintenance between deep cleans.

By pairing these advanced tools, we tailor each clean to your hull’s specific needs. Never overworking the surface, always protecting your investment.
